Dear Friends


This is such an exciting day for us! Our very first newsletter going out to all our friends and colleagues who supported us over the past few months and who believed in us that we would actually get this new venture of ours off the ground. There were many nail-biting moments but by the time our first guests walked through the door, we were calm and in control - like the duck that glides across the water effortlessly while underneath the surface his feet are paddling madly.

Our first exhibition is to be held on the 8th February. Georg Piesch is a well known artist from Vienna, Austria who has kindly offered to show his work at Rodwell House, a huge privilege for us. He has exhibited in Austria, Hungary, Canada and in South Africa - check out his web site on www.georgpiesch.com  - his paintings resonate with colour and movement which draw one into the canvases, propelling one to look deeper to find the ultimate truth of what the artist is trying to say. In Georg Piesch own words: 'My art deals primarily with the universal, the godly, being one with the whole. In essence: with life itself........... In our whole being, having to grasp that being, we must know that we are only part of the oneness which leads us to the completion of the whole. For it is life itself that leads us. It is life that always accompanies us - a feeling of eternity which grows. Not elapsed, not forgotten. How can one measure - to put it in words - the universal power, the love, the beauty is the source of everything. Forever it is this - this I know for sure.

A man who can write such words that touch the soul must surely be a great artist.

Ich war ergriffen von einem tiefen antroposophischen Ansatz zu diesem Thema, der mir erlaubte, einen speziellen Zugang zu finden. Der Einsatz des Lichts in seinem Werk lässt eine stark metaphysische Interpretation zu. Diese Aspekte erlauben es seinem Werk, in Zukunft in noch tiefere Dimensionen zu wachsen . Ich freue mich, das zu erleben und sein Werk in einem späteren Stadium wieder zu sehen.
